Force Sunroof/ moonroof moon roof shut manually

Applies to most Volvos 850 960 S70 V70 S60 s80 etc.... Remove rear view mirror, find motor to sunroof (small black box in 02' v70 XC) Has a two wire connector.

Unlug the connector (with battery disconnected next to you on floor.

Take two long speaker wires and connect to car battery next to you.

Take the other ends of the two speaker wires and connect them to wire that you disconnected (one wire in each hole.

This bypasses the switch (button) to open / close sun roof.

Once wires are in, it may open it the rest of the way, back to square one. Now its stuck all the way open. *Flip the positive and negative wires in the connector ... positive to the green wire hole (v70 skymatics of wiring) and negative to the black or vice versa).

Now that its forced shut, if it worked, you probably need to leave it shut until further notice and or buy a switch (button) that is engaged by driver when you want to engage the sunroof.
