I'm on my road trip and the car has developed random misfires all across the board. At first it was #2 then #4 & #5, now #1.
I've been hauling a camper 2000 miles and I think I have worn out the cap and rotor, even though they are only 2 years old.
I'm stuck in Montana if this gets worse.

check your vacuum lines, especially the one by the power steering pump on the manifold, I had one that keep sliding off there and giving random misfire codes

I agree on the vac leaks, start there first. Another idea: Weak coil spark? There have been a few reports of that recently.

Not loosing coolant. It only does it when it's hot. Not warming up or cold.
It did very well from GA until Wyoming. I'll check lines now.

Problem when hot is consistent with an electrical issue, makes me wonder some more about the coil. Can you get one cheap like from a junkyard? They rarely go bad but they do.
Any other good ideas about electrical that would give multiple misfires, maybe the fuel injection relay?

Im going with coil on this one, too. We have had several reports of coils that give a blue spark but replacing them anyway solves poor running problems
