I saw an R in the junkyard the other day and would like to grab the silver door sill guards. Are these just glued on or is there a safe way to remove them?
Thanks for the input.

Are you talking about plastic grey door trim or side skirts?

I may be mistaken but I'm pretty sure he was talking about the sill guards that set on top of the side skirts. If that is what he's talking about, they have small strips of a black double sided tape. I just removed these myself last week. Just need a slim knife so as not to bend them up too much.

Thanks guys! Yep I was talking about the silver door sill guards that say 850 on them. They looked taped on but I wasn't sure.

A-ha....you're talking about alloy sill guards with 850 logo stamped on them.

Just picked up a set of these for my son's 850. Cleaned and polished. Notice there are four small triangular rubber tabs on underside of sill. Was wondering if these have to fit into a hole to help align sills. Rather not have to drill into car to install. Was hoping double side tape would only be needed.
