okay, since i've found heaps of answers on my previous questions, hopefully you guys can help me with this:
On a 2001 Phase 2 v40 1.8 (not GDI):
My Climate Control is not working anymore.
I've got my airco liquids filled and airco fullt serviced, and tested the pump by unplugging it and giving it 12v directly. The hose coming from the pump runs ice cold, so the pump is working, and the temps in the car get ice cold.
But when i push the AC button on my dash, it does not give a signal at the other end of the plug (so no incoming signal TO the pump).
I have bought another (working) ECC dashboard control unit, replaced it, but unfortunately still the same issue. When i unlug the ECC pump, and test if there's a signal when the AC button on th dash is pushed, i do not get a signal.
I've tried manual and auto setings, none is triggering the pump to run.
i have absolutely no clue where to look, the previous owner told me he already replaced some sensors. Are there more than 1 temperature sensors that can have any relation to my issue?
(one thing that i should mention, when I turn my key 2 steps, so without starting the engine, the fan (radiotor?) immediately starts running. Maybe this is related?)
I'm going on holiday this weekend, and with a small kid in the back i'd love to have the ECC working. so i'm thinking about making a manual switch in my dash to turn on the airco pump when it's getting really hot. I know this might me al little tricky, but i won;t let it run for more than a couple of minuites at a time. Whay do you guys think?
Thanks very much in advance for all replies, and sorry for the bad english
