You have asked a very open question . Have you purchased it yet ? Have you looked up a Carfax report on this vehicle ? Which engine is in the car & is it FWD or AWD ? What is your mechanical ability ? These cars need a lot of attention to keep them running & you happy .

Very fragile transmission on the T6 engine. I believe AWD had issues that year. Look for worn control arm bushings ($$)

I have a 2004 with the GM tranny. It went out and was repaired under warranty. Other than that tranny has been fine.

Check the drive shaft as that is an expensive item. I had to have mine replaced for $1k.

Timing belt - has it been done? If not do it ASAP!!

All suspension parts are wear items, plan on spending $500 or so per year keeping them in order.

Overall a great car. Plan on about $1k per year keeping it on the road unless you do the work yourself.

Not cliffs, but Minnesota potholes.

Have had my 2004 since 2006 from 26k to 114k. On average about $500 per year in suspension.

That's crazy man i live in long island and drive in nyc all the time and would never have to do the arms more than once in the life of the truck unless I'm running over curbs at full speed lol

Are you using good replacement parts?

Just in suspension? You must have some horrible roads in Minnesota.

In MN they say we have two seasons: Winter and Road Repair.

At 118K I am on a third set of arms.

In fairness, if one brings the car to a shop they just do the broken part. As my wife drives it I try to let the shop fix her car so I don't get the blame. The last go I did the arms and everything else - it should be good for sometime now.
