2004 S80 Crank and cam sensor

Everything on the Volvo S80. Sometimes called an "executive car", the S80 was Volvo's top-of-the-line passenger car. P2 platform.

2004 S80 Crank and cam sensor

Post by topium »

The cam and crank sensors have been replaced and the computer is still posting the P0016 code. Also the car is running like it is not timed correctly. Any comments about how to correct this problem.

Was timing belt replaced or CVVT hub moved? Not sure if you bought it broke or this just happened? A little background please.

The timing belt was changed at 115,000, the car now has 235,000, I got the P0016 code about crank and cam sensor, I changed both sensors, but still get the same code. I did not touch the CVVT hub,( do not where it is). However, this all stated a few miles after I left the AC shop where they worked on my compressor. Maybe they moved something in the front of the motor. Any suggestions would be very helpful.
