I did tinker with the patch file installing it again and it worked. Dice was able to communicate and now I'm starting chapter 2 which is tracking down every code I got. Im attaching a picture I snapped real quick

Getting VIDA/DICE up and running always feels like a tremendous success - until you realize that now you are at the beginning of the process of figuring out what is wrong with the car.
When you have a bunch of codes like that I typically note what the original scan said and then clear them all with the customer delivery button and see what comes back. That helps to eliminate superfluous things that just waste your time.

Brake pedal sensor on booster needs repair (on slim board) and throttle is a goner.
Now that you have a Dice you can program a used one with one of our forum members' help.

Lee,
I was messing with Vida again today and performed an ETM test, not sure what to look for as I'm still new to this but snapped a picture of the result.
I also tried to clear the codes but they still remain the same so I'm assuming my headaches will grow day by day
Mike,
Can the brake pedal sensor be repaired and what problems are associated with it? As for the ETM, that's a original part without being updated at any point of its life and It still has the white sticker in it. I was prepared to shell some extras on this part alone as soon as I saw this car was a 99 but took the chance because the body and interior are in excellent condition.
EDIT: Just did some reading on the brake pedal sensor and it seems fixable so I will try that next:) Thanks Mike!

I think the symptoms of BPPS are an ETS light & if you press brake and accelerate at the same time the throttle won't respond.
Those codes on the throttle are permanent errrors which a DIY contactless conversion won't correct..
Now that you have a Dice read off the Network numbers (the 2 bottom software numbers) on the ETM and get any old junkyard ETM. With Henry's (doublebug MVS user) help you can rewrite any ETM to those numbers.

Mike,
I will definitely need Henry's help in a few days to rewrite the ETM. I just purchased a used yellow sticker one which I believe it will last me a bit (rebuild date 2014) so we'll see how it goes. Seller had no idea if this came from a turbo car or not but my curiosity tells me to plug it and test it

While waiting on the ETM, I was doing some reading on the IMM-233 code I got when I scanned the car. I read about replacing the harness from the brain to the antenna ring but I couldn't find a part number for it. I also read about getting just the female connectors from Volvo and still I wasn't able to dig further.
Does anyone have a part # or any lead on this one?
I now know the ETM needs replacing but I'm convinced my #1 problem relies on the antenna ring not communicating with the brain, thus tripping the code and cutting the spark/ fuel supply immediately after start.

The butterfly stays cracked open about 15 degrees or soo when the key hasn't been inserted or even it being unplugged for that matter. Anyway, once the key is in position II, the ETM clicks (butterfly closes) followed by a few seconds of a high pitch whine and lastly you hear a click(butterfly opens) and that's it.
Did I just hit the lottery with this ETM?
There's no more whining after the second click so I'm thinking it won't need programming. The only thing that bothers me is the positioning of the butterfly before the clicks. Is it supposed to stay open like that?

The fact that it went through the self test would indicate that the software is a match. You can pull the software version with VIDA to confirm that it matches your original.
