1998 V70 Automatic Transmisson Alarm

Hello,

Now have the codes from a better tester. They are PO136, PO141 and PO705. Per some quick web searches, the first two are caused by a failed O2 sensor. The third one is a failed Transmission Range Sensor Circuit Malfunction, which seems to be what was referred to as PNP.

I infer that the switch failure does not indicate a real transmission failure and that it is safe to drive the car. Please comment.

Also if I wanted to repair/replace the switch, what would I need to do?

Further, I reset all the codes and so far (3/5 miles) no lights have come on. Perhaps they were all false alarms?

If the flashing arrow is on the car is not safe to drive. Limp mode is very hard on the transmission so you'll want to avoid driving like that.
