2002 XC70 Left Drive Shaft

I got a little heavy handed checking bolt on drive shaft. Sheared the bolt. Has any one had any success with an easy out :oops:

Can you pull it out as is? If so then just take a vice grip to it once it is out. You may need to loosen and/or remove a few other components and do some up down lifting of hub to get it out with the added length.

Otherwise I see no reason an easy out would not work. Thinking about it, depending on how deep it broke it is a pretty safe drill. The bolt should not be to tight and should come out easy.

A left-hand drill bit might be a good idea:
