Have you tried uninstalling the ".NET FIRMWARE"? If your lights are flashing, but your computer isn't recognizing the DICE this is likely your problem. It took weeks, numerous attempts, lots of research and all I needed to do was uninstall .NET FIRMWARE.

"doesn't detect that new hardware has been plugged - this means hardware problem not software.
check your usb cable from dice to PC. But red light means that your DICE does not boot in normal mode.

thank you folks,

I have an email to my son about the .NET Framework and hopefully we can give that a shot before I spring for another Vida unit. I will perservere.

You know, the 2007 V70 NA is really a nice looking car. I've done all the servicing on it (much of it thanks to the tips and tutorials on this site) and it runs beautifully netting us nearly 30 mpg.

I would just love to get that Vida running as well. Thanks again for staying with me on this.
