Yeah mika, I feel ya. I've used the bushing inserts before on my 850, time to check those bolts. I'll post pics of them and of the touching sway bar erik and of the bar mounts. Interesting, the old control arm was a meyle hd unit, maybe 10 or 12k on it and the ball joint was pretty loose. Did endlinks with lemforder at the same time. The endlink_looks_straight but maybe i should yank it and roll it on a table or something.

I would see if sway bar got bent by removing the sway bar links at the sway bar then compare the left and right side of the sway bar looking at symmetry between the two sides.

I replaced a subframe on my 98 V70 XC after the previous owner hit a curb. The frame was compressed behind the control arm mount, on the side of the frame. A little bit there caused a huge shift in wheel position. The frame was not that difficult to replace, I lifted it from above with an engine support that i picked up from Harbor F. At least one of the subframe attachment bolts was also bent.

Well, just got done looking a little further today. I have red line readable sway brackets and noticed they were pushed forward a bit, so undid the links and loosened the bracket bolts and pushed it back as far as I could. Buttoned it all back up, I have a little more clearance but still seems awful close. I need to find someone with an 850 or s70 to compare to. I did order a front motor mount to put on at the same time as the control arm but Fox sent me a motor mount bracket instead. Perhaps the cabin vibration is partly that mount which is obviously busted. Here's some pics:

Fixed it. After pulling in next to an 850 at the park and ride, I looked under it to compare clearance. Pretty close like mine. Once I got the right part(front right mount) and installed it, I no longer want to set my car on fire. Proof in pudding that I am not a mechanic. The car is very quiet now. Pretty sure I bent that wheel though...
