1996 850R Lifetime Warranty on Parts

Hi,

Is FCPEuro the only place that offers a lifetime warranty on parts? I know that if you have your car serviced at the dealer, Volvo now offers a lifetime warranty, however I prefer to use my local mechanic and buy the parts elsewhere.

When did Volvo change their warranty? I will check when I am there later today, but I was under the impression they were still at 2 years parts and labour on parts they supply.

Spoke to the dealer today and they didn't know anything about this. Volvo Canada is part of Volvo North America and usually we have the same policies, but perhaps there is a delay here. I'll contact Volvo Canada and ask. Would be great if they do!

You are 100% correct, IF you live in the US. In Canada we still only get 1 year if we fit ourselves or 2 years if dealer does. So we pay about 200% of the US price and get a poorer warranty to boot. Just got to love Volvo North America!

Seeing as I buy most of my parts out of the US, then I guess I should be covered!

If Volvo saw us chiseling repairs costs with things like the bread clip,fix, they would never warranty parts for life. At least now when you need to replace all your coils, you only need to buy one.
