1998 V70 XC & OEM Trailer Hitch Install / Exhaust Issue

Good People,

I've been saving my Volvo OEM hitch that I once had on my '96 850 Wagon to install on my project '98 V70 XC. The hitch was from an S70 or V70 originally.

Well, the mufflers on the V70 XC are in the way of the bracket and tube. All 12 bolt holes line up and it fits great around the spare.

I love the OEM hitch because it is beefy and worked really well on the 850.

Does anybody know if there was a special hitch for the XC's?

The AWD had different tow hitches to FWD.

V/S70 AWD - 9192721
V70XC - 9451995

Automatic FWD

V/S70 - 9134247
or - 9451996

Manual

V/S70 - 9134938
