Hello again, I'm making a separate thread for this separate problem which is really causing me some stress.
My passenger blinker front and back won't work when I use the turn signal. However, if I hit the hazard light buttons they'll blink on and off just fine. Same with adjusting the running lights, both sides will turn on but only the driver side will blink.
Thank you for reading and any guidance would be much appreciated. Please don't hesitate to go into as much detail as you need.

Check bulbs and connectors for corrosion.
Fuse usually covers Both sides.
The hazard bulbs and turn signals are separate so no surprises there.

Sounds like an issue with the turn signal switch.
I say that as the 4 ways (hazards) actuate the bulbs ( blinking) so we know the wiring, fuse and bulbs are ok. Your park lamps work -that's a bonus.
Since you can't initiate on side blinking we need to look at the item that can actuate them by whichever side you select - the turn signal switch.

Can you further elaborate on what should be done next? I assume you mean the physical turn switch by the steering wheel and not something else. Thank you.JDS60R wrote:Sounds like an issue with the turn signal switch.

I agree it's probably turn switch related but you work back to front to troubleshoot electrical stuff.
Component A doesn't work, so you check for voltage at the plug yo component A.
If there is no voltage, you trace the wire back to the next plug and look for voltage there. You keep going back until you reach either a break in the wire, a bare patch, broken fuse, or a broken switch or other source.
You need
1 a cheap voltmeter, maybe 20 usd from Radio shack or sears
2 wiring diagram for your exact model car. We don't host them here but they are on the web. Post it up here and we can help you through it

When you flick the turn signal switch/lever to turn left, does the light come on but it will not blink, or does it not illuminate at all?

Yes - the turn signal switch. I'm assuming your answer to Eriks question will be that using the turn signal switch to turn left produces nothing. If not - let us know
I'm saying that based on your statement " My passenger blinker front and back won't work when I use the turn signal."
Here is how to get to the switch. (attached)
I would open it up and use your meter to test and make sure by switching to right your are getting an output and then switching to left and seeing no output.
This would condemn the switch.
Or you can just grab one from a junkyard
FCP has them with or without cruise control

But I would run the numbers through Volvo of Lisle or Tasca for price comparisons.
I'm not at the shop today so I don't have the diagram to tell you which wire to test for what.
I assume the supply wire provides 12v dc + . Then the switch throws to the respective wire when used for left and right.
Or it could be a ground. Just unplug the switch and check for continuity from the supply wire to left and right wire when the switch is turned.
Good Luck,
John
