I had an accident involving a hill, a curb, and potential energy. It was violent and nobody, very fortunately, was hurt, besides my ego.
Lessons that I will pass on: you should fix your parking brake cables immediately, those jacking points for the factory jack are surprisingly resilient, and a concrete curb is an ideal tool for reshaping sheet metal. Just bang the sheet metal down on it, backed up by 3300lb of car.
Fortunately, a four-pound sledgehammer and an oak dowel are also ideal craftsman's tools. So: does anyone have photographs of the back floor pan of an 850 wagon or V70, from inside without carpets installed and from underneath? Preferably something that will show the contours of the pan, so I can get it into something like the correct shape. I just spent two minutes tapping at it and my forearm is aching, so this is a project on which I'd like to spend as little exploration time as possible.
Wagons - floorpan shape

hmm, I need the rear seat floorpans. Don't know if they're any different on a wagon either.
I'll try to get some snaps. It was brutal, though. Somehow I had the presence of mind not only to get out from behind the door, but to even close the door as the car rolled past. It's a steep hill and the whole thing was over in three seconds.
