Had this thing pop up yesterday as well, and it seems to only come up when the brakes are warm/hot... could be a coincidence, but might be another hint at what this might be.
Blandis, that's a very, very good description, btw. Exactly what I've got as well.

Had a very similar issue and it was definitely the emergency brake hardware in my case. This could also be worn/collapsing front brake hoses. They deteriorate over time so that when pressure is applied with the pedal, the brakes engage, but the interior of the lines is swollen so they don't let off readily/easily and are still partially applied even though your foot is off the pedal. The brakes eventually fully release when the fluid seeps back through the line. This could account for premature rotor wear as well. Are the front brake lines original or have they been replaced before?

I think my problem may be solved. New front pads seem to be doing the trick. Others were fine. No strange wear, nothing bent, loose, chipped. I guess rotors just did not like the pads after they wore some. Strange thing is those same pads worked fine for well over a year.
Have been driving it for 4 days in Dallas traffic and no issues. If that changes I will report back.
