Wrong lengths?
As long as vacuum tubes aren't longer than the originals, it shouldn't be any kind of real problem, should it?

I've regularly replaced hoses in my Volvos, and not a once have I noticed differences in any kind of engine parameter, except when the old hoses have been mush, of course. That said, I do make sure that hoses I install are same length or shorter than the ones I remove.
