1997 850 88V Tire Size

Post by davolvo »

Hello, well got all the major preventive maintenance done. Now I am getting tires. Will an 88T work or does it have to be an 88V? Most of the places I talk to here say 88V is no more.

Well... H, V and T refers to max speeds, so it kinda depends how fast you want to go, I guess... :D

Good point! But, someone said that going from a V to a H or T could make a difference in the way it handles. Yes, no? Maybe so? 8)

"T" is up to 180km/h and usually used for winter tyres.
I would use tyres with "V" or "H" speed index.

It wouldn't be very noticable, in my experience at least... but go for the V or H. In case you have to run from the cops or something. You never know. :D
