V70xc suspension
V70xc suspension
Hello! Was doing some thinking and was wondering if anyone has heard of someone putting xc90 rear suspension in a v70? I know a lot of people use the spring seats from the xc90 but have never heard of anything further. I pull trailers a lot and will be hauling a 6x12 enclosed with 2 motorcycles and misc items from MN to AZ fairly soon and was thinking of trying to beef up the rear shocks. Any input is greatly appreciated!

I don't think it can be done, I never heard of anyone even trying it

If your rear suspension is tired then just put new shocks springs on the back, skip the xc90 idea. I believe your car is rated for 3500 pounds towing capacity so unless your loads are over that, stay stock

As mentioned, even if you find out it would fit - which I would be surprised - the suspension will be stiff and may cause the rear end to loose adherence in emergency situations so perhaps not a good idea from a safety point of view
