1995 854T Lost valve retainer. Interchageable?

In the middle of my valve seal replacement project.

So I dropped a valve keeper somewhere under the hood.
Been looking for it for the past 3 hours. I have no idea where it ended up.

Can I just get a new one or do they have to be matched to the valve stem?

Found it.
Lots of hiding places under the hood of that car.

After a couple of adventures with dropped bolts and other stuff, I've come to the conclusion that these cars absorb dropped parts into themselves, incorporating them back into them main matrix, unless you find them reasonably quick.

It's a working theory, at least.
