2000 S40 Strut/Spring Issue

Hi folks I have a 2000 S40 and while turning something broke in the left front strut area. It appears the coil spring maybe pushed through the lower strut spring pad(?) as the spring is now rubbing on the tire. Anyone familiar with such a failure? I will have it in the shop once I get it towed home. Thanks

Hey - I think I have the same issue on a 2001 S40. Right front, looks like the spring has dropped down around the lower? spring? mount? and a coil of the spring is rubbing fiercely on the tire.

Do you have any reco's other than tow it in and get it repaired? Any info on price of the fix?

try to get a new complete struts online preferably both sides, every s40 I owned had this issue with broken springs. as for prices not really sure do some research
