'99 S70, auto trans -- Cannot Remove Key From Ignition

The key won't come out of the ignition on my S70. The car is in park. I've pressed the shift override button to see if the shift selector can go any further forward. It can't. I have been into the shift lever area recently replacing a cracked shift lever surround. With respect to the key, it looks as if it won't rotate fully back to the horizontal, key insertion position. It seems to be about a 1/16th of an inch shy of the full horizontal position. I've tried no end of wiggling and jiggling of the key to persuade it out, but all to no avail.

Any thoughts? I don't relish taking the car to a dealer to address the issue.

Be sure that the button in the shifter is fully released
and the shift lock override button is all the way up.

Robert -- Thanks for posting the video. You might want to reshoot that one. There are some problems with the audio -- very faint.
