Then in Vida add some DEM parameters in Vehicle Communication.
Start and check them at idling.
Usually Pump current should be around 1.5 A (1500)
Also look at Oil pressure, and Oil temperature and Solenoid current.
Solenoid current after short time usually about 750 (0.75 A).
Oil pressure if everything is good should be about 0.34
thanks for the suggestions. i did as you suggested, after clearing the codes and at idle, here are my result;

CCM-DD12
CCM-DD30
CEM-1A5F
ECM-900B
CEM-9C03
DEM-0006

DEM parameters;

oil temp 12 degrees C (the temp increased as i went for a drive around the neighborhood)
oil press 0.34 mPa (stayed constant at idle and during drive)
solenoid current 16 mA (stayed constant at idle and during drive)
pump current 1.3 mA(fluctated a little bit, maybe 0.1 mA)
pump voltage 14.1 V (stayed pretty constant)

the solenoid current seems out of whack. any thoughts?

Pump current is 1.3 mA or A?
I've asked because 1.3 mA is too low. If still mA seems DEM is faulty because oil pressure is right.
If you have questions about Volvo firmware ask me. I may know an answer :)

sorry, 1.3 A, 1300 mA.

12 C is 53F. Is it that cold at summer in Cali?

i'm in the mountains. overnight lows are cool. mid-day highs have in in the 80's, i'll check it middle of day today and report back.

any thoughts on the other parameters?

i checked oil temp this afternoon, it was 26 degrees C.

in the vehicle communication in VIDA, my DEM is green and i am able to read values. the values i checked today are as as follows, all at idle in the garage,

oil temp 26 C
oil pressure 0.34 mPa
solenoid current 16 mA
pump current 1400 mA (1.4 A)
DEM voltage 14 V

how do these look?

btw, i'm also battling a "brake failure" error and i am beginning to think my BCM needs to be refurbished. in VIDA, BCM is greyed out and i do not have communication and cannot pull values.

All look ok but solenoid current.
It shows as if pump is not producing enough pressure.
But oil pressure sensor shows pressure is good.

thanks. any thoughts on why the solenoid current is down or what to do? where is the solenoid located?
