99 S70 T5 - have to slightly wiggle the key

Can some tell me what this might.............when I crank my ar i have to slightly wiggle the key and my lights and dash comes on???

The contacts on the ignition key are worn and need replacing.

Methinks Neil meant to type the contacts on the electrical portion of the ignition switch. The switch needs replacing.

Thanks for the correction Erik. Was in a hurry and drew a blank on what the word was. Ignition switch is correct word for what I meant! Thanks.

Good to know. My cousin has this problem with his T5, and I think my GLT may have the same problem.

Every single P80 has this problem. Either it was already fixed once, or it has it now, or it will very soon. Or some combination of those ...
