2006- Flatbed trailer and hitch?
2006 XC70- I realize that I don't have a means to transport dirt/ mulch/ lumber....I refuse to put it in the wagon. If I attach a 'hitch', can I get one of those small flatbed trailers to haul my stuff? Is the XC70 designed to handle pulling such an item? If so, can you recommend what hitch? Anyone know anything about a small flatbed trailer?

Yes, XC70 can tow. I have a 1.25" Curt hitch installed in my 05 XC70 by previous owner, I use it to carry mountain bikes. The hitch is the only thing which rusts in the car
This hitch is not asking for cutting the bumper.

Alan..I've got a 250 USD less 20% Harbor freight 2008 4x8 trailer which has paid for itself 10x over the years.
I've towed loads from 500-3000 pounds with my 1999 and it tows well.
