2001 v70 xc been sitting for 5 years running rough

Check the turbo.. Pull the inlet tube off and see if it spins freely. Sounds like a bad turbo to me. Clear the transmission codes out of memory and drive it until the codes for whatever is ailing it sets... Sometimes 1 code will stop another from setting. Faulty motor mounts will also sometimes show up as a rough idle. So check the mount on the right side right under the crank pulley, if it's fully collapsed you will feel a lot more of the engines vibration.

Your going to need brakes all around, pads calipers and rotors. Tires will be dry rotted and have flat spots, they will need to be replaced as well. Timing belt and water pump... Did you take these items into consideration? Cars that sit that long are expensive to get back to safe operation.

Focus on drivability issues first, if engine is no good you may want to just part it out and move on.
