2000 V70 Classic right front tire hits inner fender

Post by Anders_H »

Hi Guys,
So here my first topic on MVS. I'm the owner of a volvo v70 2000 classic 2.4 N/A that is in mint condition. No rust aso. Unfortunately it has some annoying things. I've put on original Volans with 225/45-17. The tyres are too wide so I've put on steering limiters on the steering rack (as on turbo models). It works fine on the left side (no rubbing) but on the right side the tyre hits both when turning left AND when turning right. It has got wheel alligned a couple of times so I really wonder what it can be. It has driven 132.000 miles and is lowered 40/40 with lesjöfors. Any ideas?

Anders, welcome to MVS.

"....and is lowered 40/40 with lesjöfors."

Combination of big wheel, wide tire + low car.

But how come it's only on the right side?

Can you tell me why?

I thought of spacers but won't I change the wheel offset?
