Hey Folks,
I bought a 2007 Volvo V50 about a year ago. Really love the car.
However the clutch (which seems to have lots of life left) is KILLING my knee after I drive it.
Ive driven a lot of different kinds of cars and my Honda before this did not give me the same problems.
I think I can attribute this to the way the clutch in the volvo makes me use all of my strength in the left leg to bring the clutch back out after shifting. In other words, there is not a lot of resistance. It does not 'help' by leg back.
Does this make sense? Is this something inherent in this car or do I have a bad slave or something?
Thanks!

You mean you have a light clutch pedal. That is generally a desirable thing, as the opposite, a heavy clutch pedal can make stop and go driving a pain. Have you tried resting your heel on the floor using it as a pivot point to move the clutch pedal instead of moving your whole leg up and down?scudinferno wrote:I think I can attribute this to the way the clutch in the volvo makes me use all of my strength in the left leg to bring the clutch back out after shifting.
