Hi guys!
I desperately need your help! The temperature dial on my 2001 S40 stopped working a while ago and I only got hot air through the air vents. After a while, it started working again and now it works intermittently -sometimes it works to set the temperature (and let the damper motor work automatically) while other days i just have to sit in the freezing cold (or melting hot) air that my car has decided to give me for the day.
I have checked the damper motor itself and it works fine. I have also looked into the ECC-control panel to check for bad soldering joints but everything seems ok. I found an old thread (https://www.matthewsvolvosite.com/forums ... =8&t=34858) where someone has had a similar problem and fixed it. However, the manual resetting of the damper motor does not work for me. I do not know if this i because I have ECC and not manual control or if there is something else I am missing.
I will gladly take any advice and/or guesses you might have. I have spent way too much time on this problem already...
