2003 v70. Smoking exhaust

Post by Hozer28 »

2003 V70 2.4t 125k miles. Bought at an auction last week. First start up, it smoked for about 5 minutes then stopped and didn't smoke at all on the drive home (50 miles) including one stop. Immediately went to pcv system and found it 100% blocked between oil trap and block, both upper and lower hoses. Replaced entire pcv system with parts from local Volvo dealer. Now it smokes out the exhaust and will not stop. It is also still failing the glove test. I did a cold compression and all cylinders are in the 180s. There is oil in the inter cooler tube coming out of the turbo as well. The car idles and runs great. Changed the oil when I did the pcv, castroil 5w30. Any ideas?

I am guessing there is still a blockage in the PCV system further inside the engine block. Can this be cleared without dropping the pan?
