2004 V70 REPLACE COOLANT HOSES

Post by mayorpeoria »

To be on the safe side, I would like to replace all hoses for the coolant system. Do any suppliers offer a complete kit of hoses needed to preform this task? Should I stick with Volvo parts only?

There are some threads on the P80 forum that recommend Volvo parts only.

If you have a turbo, doing those small hoses on the back will make you never want to do that again, do Volvo only.

The two big hoses to the radiator are where you can cheap out, just keep your old ones as spares in the car.

I've backed off replacing the heater hoses on these cars. I spent about 150 bucks for the Volvo heater hoses on my 1999 and the 17 year old OEM ones were like new. I passed them forward to someone as spares.

All new stainless steel clamps and clean all sealing surfaces so that they are shiny.
