1999 Volvo s70 Random Shut Offs

Go to Auto Zone in your area. Not to sure about Advance Auto as far as reading codes. I use Auto Zone here in Salisbury. They read and give me a print out of the codes. You can check fuel pressure and that should tell you a little about the pump.

Nothing to do with your pseudo random shutoffs.

More likely your battery cables are bad and when you fussed with the new battery they gave up the ghost.

Your radio gives you a couple of tries to put the code oin then goes to OFF for two hours.
