2004 XC70 Is there any procedure to turn off SRS light

I know you need a scanner or Volvo dealer techstream or Volvo software to turn off SRS but I'm looking for a sequence like turning off the "service icon". Like my '99 Prelude there's an SRS plug under dash you can hook up a tool or just ground it out to shut SRS off, if it was accidentally set on it will stay "off" unless you really have an "SRS" issue it comes right back. Here's what happen yesterday, I was installing the new Meyle Tie Rod ends I got from FCP Groton when my Father in law stops by and decides he is gonna help(like I really need his help but I humored him). My wife comes out and mention that the L/F selt belt is jammed up and can't be used, so "I'm like I'll check it out later". Oh no we can't have that cause my father in law just has to take a look, so he took it all apart then started fiddling. Anyway he turned ignition key on while air bags were unplugged and set off the SRS message/cluster icon!! He's like oh it will just cycle off after a few start ups and I'm like not this car it's a Volvo!! By the way my father in law is an old school mechanic not technician, a mechanic!! He does know his stuff but he's impatient...he also broke 2 clips for the plastic door sills, I like to put everything back the way it's suppose to be not "It'll be okay it's just one clip"!! That's why old cars make creaking noises and everything vibrates when you go over bumps, cause some lazy tech didn't put parts back properly. At least he was able to get the seat belt mechanism to work properly and I got to put interior back together properly when he was done. Anyway, if I don't have to buy a new scanner with SRS reset capabilities I'd like to opt for that since I just spent over a thousand bucks is car parts/tires for all of our cars in the last month.

Unfortunately the only way is to plug in the Vida/Dice. On local advertising sites, there are often people offering this service for very little.

You're quite lucky your father in law has some skills and offers to share them. Appreciate him; he may save your bacon one day.

You can purchase an Autel EU-702 if you can still find one (this is the least expensive scanner that will reset airbags on Volvos) Other Autel models such as MD-801, 802, 619 will do the job as well.

Spend the $100 on VIDA it'll do everything. Especially since you have a haldex XC. It will make life easier.

KEY IN IGNITION, TURN TO 1ST POSITION
HOLD DOWN TRIP RESET BUTTON (DO NO LET GO)
TURN KEY TO 2ND POSITION DO NOT LET GO OF THE TRIP BUTTON
AFTER A COUPLE OF SECONDS THE ORANGE TRIANGLE SHOULD FLASH
LET GO OF THE RESET BUTTON AND PRESS ONCE.

I shuttle between NYC and ALB and can throw my 801 into my car. Reset takes 3 minutes
