94 850 brake switch on booster

When installing my new engine I smacked the sensor #271892 and broke it- a friend was helping and he used waterpump pliers and broke the grommet thingy out of the booster- I have a spare switch but is the grommet available separately or do I have to buy an entire booster ?

Neither.
#271892 is a kit w/ "grommet" and sensor. 100 bucks. I'm not sure what switch you're talking about...

Through the '95 model year the brake booster had a range switch in the brake booster that told the ABS how hard the brake was being applied. The switch isn't on/off but rather it is segmented.

The bad thing about removing the switch is that the O ring will pop off and get sucked into the booster unless you relieve the vacuum by pressing the brake pedal several times (car off). Once it gets sucked in you can't really fish it out.

What broke is the plastic collar that is on the booster- I have the switch and o-ring but not that part
