Hopefully investing in my son will give him a good head start, although right now they are reverse engineering tooth brushes. What started out as a way of saving money has turned into a really interesting hobby.

Put the serpentine belt on and filled with coolant yesterday morning. Started her up and it ran great. I was slightly concerned because after I started it the tensioner arm was to the left side of the window. I watched it and it gradually moved to the right. Checked it this morning and it was exactly where I had set it and theoretically it should be. Is this normal? It seems fine and if there was a problem I'm guessing it would not have returned to where it was originally set when the engine cooled, but after seeing a post this morning about a broken belt and trashed engine I just thought I'd ask. Also I've noticed that each time I work on the car there is something minor that breaks. This time it was the brake light bulb and the time before it was the headlight bulb. Is this just coincidence and my bad luck or does this happen to everyone? If so there has to be a name for it.

To preclude this from re-occurring, I think you should be ordered immediately to keep clear (100 yards at least) from any car that has its hood up...

And, as far as I can recall, Mr. Murphy has been irrevocably denied access to our forums long time ago (for some very apparent reason). :D
Example of Precision: Measure with a Micrometer, mark it with Chalk, and then cut it with an Axe.
