I have 55,000 miles on my car and the front brakes are squeaking. I am going to replace the pads and rotors all at once. I have seen videos online and read some other topics about this, I'm just a little apprehensive because everything I have seen or read talks about older models. 2005 to 2010.
Since my car is 2013 are all steps the same as the older models?
Does anyone have any helpful hints or a step by step PDF?
Thank's for any input.

It's a basic disc brake nothing special or different than the rest. Bolt placement is different per design, but that's about it. Just make sure to clean any rust off the pad guides and lube the guide bolts, and clean any rust off the hub so the disc sits straight. I use a dremel and a wire brush to clean the rust off.

One quick follow up, how about torque specs.
I talked to my Volvo dealer about torque specs and they said,"we tighten it as much as we can."
Is there any specific torque specs for the caliper?
Thank you

I wouldn't tighten the glide pins as much as I can but I go fairly tight, maybe 40 or 50lbs if I had to throw a number out there. For the caliper bracket, I go hard. Maybe 100lbs or 110, about as tight as I do my lug nuts. You get pretty accurate by hand the more you do it. Some people will scream at me for saying that... But if you really think it matters you can look up the torque ratings and get a good torque wrench. I only use a torque wrench for things that involve bearings, or internal engine parts. Part of the problem with using a torque wrench on the brakes is space, it's hard to fit one on there, and I'm comfortable guessing. I use a ratchet and a rubber mallet to loosen them, that takes a lot of the work out. You just have to make sure you hold the ratchet so it doesn't swing around and break an abs sensor or something.

Thank you for your input. I replaced brakes and rotors this weekend and it was straight forward. It's very rewarding to accomplish something yourself, plus not having to pay the dealer $ 850.
Now i just have to give my C70 a tune up.
