2004 V70 Can't find left side fuel sending unit

Post by mrmail »

I'm have sporadic reading for my fuel gauge, read the posts on here and sounds like it's the drivers side sending unit. I took off the access plate under the rear seat and there is nothing under the cover but gas tank. There is a wire that connects but can not find the sending unit.

After I posted the picture, I cleaned the tank. It's non metallic and kind of an orange color.

Look on pass side, underneath the seat or lower the back cushion on same side and look from the trunk

So does anyone know if the plastic tanks only have 1 fuel level sending unit?
