After searching for hours on this site and others, I tried to temporarily fix it myself.
I am pretty sure the problem is the temperature damper motor not working properly. I located that part last night and manually opened/closed the lever(s) so that I could get cold air, rather than the heat it was blowing. Sure enough, by moving the levers that came from the damper motor, I had cool air again.
Do you think I have a bad temperature damper motor, or could something else be causing this? And if the temperature damper motor truly is the culprit, is this something that is really hard to replace? Any advice or comments would be really meaningful.
Thanks!
