98 s70 t5 SNABB Air Intake Kit review

Post by sk55 »

Hi guys,

New to the forum.

Just got a 98 s70 t5 . in the process of doing a stage 0. found a lot of helpful posts on this forum.

Wanted to give back, give a review of some Volvo upgrade parts.

Overall the kits excellent quality...
Silicon hose is perfect size... not super tight like other volvo kits..

My old plastic air intake was falling apart look like oil was eating it away.....

I like the catch can. I had installed the Snabb inlet kit as well, but also the Snabb 3" turbo intake to throttle body usinga N/A manifold.
It is working great to this day with a "628" R type ECU. Installed a year and a half or so ago.
Tightening up.

Pretty much done.

of course just route the output to back to PTC nipple near the turbo intake.

Have you notice a difference in performance since you installed the SNABB intake?

I have one installed and while I didn't notice a real performance difference, it does increase the intake noise a bit. It is a really nice, well made piece and does dress up the engine bay.

Whhat I can say, it was an enhancement to what I had planned. While doing the 3" N/A manifold swap, it had worked as design.

Does the catch can for the PCV eliminate the need for the PCV components that go behind the intake manifold
