2002 V70 - How to ID the B4 servo cover update?

I recently acquired the car, had the tranny s/w updated by my indy, and changed the fluid. Most shifting problems are solved. However, I still have a flare and delay between 2 and 3. Before tearing into the valve body, I thought I would try the B4 servo fix.

How does one identify if this fix has already been done? Is there a distinctive marking on the cover?

The only way to tell if it has been done from what I have seen is to pull it off. The difference is how the washer looking shim inside the cover is held in place.
