Brand new 850R seat skins

Hi,

I finally got around to making the 850R seat skin. You can see it on our website here http://elwoodindustries.com/id65.html

Yes, we'll make them soon in charcoal (black) too. I've been driving my platinum around for the past few days in this seat and it is awesome. The welting is 100%, soft,gray leather that I make myself, not some prefab vinyl junk.

Let me know if you're interested in this or other Volvo seats.

How close is the match to the original. I'm interested, but I only have one bad seat, the driver's seat. Would it match the pax seat, and the rear seats? I didn't see the rear seats offered.

If you look at the photos of the 850 and V70 seats on my website http://elwoodindustries.com/id63.html you'll see the head rest that I put in the photos as a color reference. It is an OEM trim color code 3960 and the 850R seat uses the exact same leather and vinyl and the suede is a perfect match. But, your passenger seat has aged so will it match perfectly? If you want I can post a pic of our 98 V70 that has the seat in the V70 photos on the website next to the OEM passenger seat. Even with age it's pretty good and I'm very critical.

The back seats? let me know if there's interest. I need to make patterns and if there's enough interest I'll do it. I will make patterns of the 850 rear seat because I want to make them for my Platinum and I'll adapt them to be suede and leather to match the R seats I put up front.

I am anxiously awaiting black/charcoal seat covers for the 850R.

Real Suede? I saw the note on your site about using a new "high tech suede," but that sounds like another synthetic like the Alcantara original. What is "welting?" Also, I'd like to see pictures on your site that detail what's leather and what's vinyl, and bigger pictures, too.

Please count me in for V70 charcoal skins for my 1998 V70R. Probably do both front seats.

I know this is an extremely old thread but I'm wondering, do you still offer your services for a 1997 850 R Sedan? Also, how much to replace everything and what is your process? You obviously have the dimensions needed so you won't need my seats to fit it or do I ship those to you and you install it as well?

I'm very interested, I'm aware your service is pricey but from what I saw you match it flawlessly.

I've bought some seat covers from Bob. The quality is very good, but it is also reflected in the price. Not cheap, but worth every penny.
