2002 v70 the front foot areas keep getting flooded
After a rain, the front foot boards keep getting flooded. I have cleaned out the drain screens in the front of the car under the hood, the plastic and rubber weatherstripping seems worn away, and i've tried to find the moon roof tube to clean this but didn't see anything inside the front vehicle plastic lining, there is no dripping water inside the car, it appears to be coming from underneath as only the foot areas are what is getting wet. any suggestions or links will be appreciated.

Possibly the drain tube off the climate blower/fan? (The blower for the inside aircon/heat)
It would cause this problem if it was blocked, damaged or had otherwise fallen off.
Is it wet on both sides?

Good suggestion, it does get flooded on both sides, however, and it only happens during a strong rain. i do keep the drains under the hood cleaned of debris, the weather stripping down the outline on the door is weathered, however i opened up the interior on the interior of the door, but couldn't find the moon roof drain tube. i'll have to do more investigative work

There is also a drain tube near the internal fan If I recall correctly.
When I removed my blower fan on my s60 there was a drain tube there. You'll see it when you look at the blower housing which required the removal of under dash panels and glove box.
I'm assuming it's similar on the the v70.
My blower had debris in it which had worked its way in from the bottom of the windscreen air intake on the outside.
If it is similar then I'd imagine water coming in there and not escaping could potentially get through the lower air vents inside the car.
I'm sure someone on here will confirm or correct me on this for you.
Cheers.

I had a major flood with 2 inches standing water on passenger side. PS is where the sunroof tube ends and there is also a drain from the blower like Homebrand says, so I suspected both of these. I removed glovebox and the right side panels which revealed that the leak was higher up. In my case the origin was the seal around my newly replaced windshield, leaking from both top and bottom with water travelling along pillar and down into PS foot well. I drained the car thru holes in the floor under the floor mat and dried it up for days, the floor is soundproofing and if left wet I'm sure it'll grow all kinds of stuff. I'd start taking apart the PS side panels look for a leak using a garden hose, if not there I'd move to driver side, PS seems much easier to get to....
