Dumb question but an '05 S40 N/A 5 speed came up for sale cheap but it has no keys nor a remote. From my XC I know I'm looking at $600 or so to get keys and a remote keyfob but how big of a dog is the car with a stick? How does it compare to an 850 N/A with a stick which would be my benchmark?
Since it has not keys I can't drive it hence the question.
Thanks,
...Lee

There are no dumb questions.
But you may want to post in the C30 forum since I think the car you're referring to is a 2nd generation. (Ok, I guess 2001-2004-1/2 is considered "Phase 2").

Lee,
I have a 2007 NA S40. It has the 5 speed tiptronic and it runs like a March Hare. I can't imagine how much fun a stick would be. I'd grab it if it was cheap enough
