I need to replace the lower engine torque rod on my '98 V70R. It's the mount from sub-frame, to transmission. Looking around it is part number 9470836 which is discontinued. FCP has an aftermarket unit from Rein, but I haven't read anything good about them. I did find a Corteco one on PartsGeek, and a Hutchinson on eEuroparts. There is conflicting information as to fitment on FWD vs AWD vehicles.
Can anyone confirm fitment and make a recommendation to manufacturer?
Thank you.

PN 9470836 fits both FWD and AWD V70.

I am not a fan of Pro Part Sweden (Chinese stuff anyway), however, if you go to ebay and search, you will see PPS torque rod mount for $33 and it is all polyurethane. So, it seems like a good part.
Otherwise, search for Hutchinson brand.

Have they changed the mount recently? The back of the mount (the bracket with the smaller bushing) has a slightly different orientation of the bolt holes on the AWD version. You can machine it a bit to make the FWD version fit though or use the bracket from your old AWD mount and install a new poly bushing.

Do you know where I could purchase a poly bushing that would fit in the smaller section? IPd has one for the larger section, though it doesn't show as compatible with the AWD vehicles. Though I doubt the actual bushings are a different size.Big Will wrote:...use the bracket from your old AWD mount and install a new poly bushing.
