I have been searching for a replacement can motor that goes into the door lock actuator. CN90 clued in that at could be a Mabuchi can motor but I have yet to find one of their motors that will fit in our door lock actuators. The Mabuchi motors that I found on EBay do not have a 25mm shaft.
Has anyone found a source for these motors?

The 26-mm shaft motor is available as FC-280SC-20150 long shaft:

If you take the motor apart, pry out the two depressed spots so the plastic end cap comes off, and remove and replace the PTC resistor disc with a piece of some metal then your motor will like be OK.
The PTC resistor is there to protect from stuck switches but the lock module has that protection built in. The PTC is about 1mm thick and is maybe 5 mm by 9 mm. It is stuck into a slot in the end cap where it is between the pin socket on end cap and the spring arm brush. I have used aluminum foil folded repeatedly to make a replacement and also used copper single strand 10 ga wire hammered flat.
If you replace the motor you are likely not getting this protection PTC so there is no benefit of a new motor over your good motor with degraded PTC removed and bypassed with a conductoer blank.

@kahl,
The short end of the shaft is a bit shorter than the Volvo photo above, however it is not too relevant b/c the motor casing sits in the plastic holder. So whether the shaft sticks out 1mm or 5mm, it is probably OK.
Why don't you order that thing and report back, it is only $4 or so.

Thanks for the images and comments on this. I've been needing to do the fix as well. I'll do it tomorrow and report back what I find.
kahl, were you able to get it working?

I cut a piece of metal to replace the PTC resistor. It fit right in to bridge the gap between the two connectors. I used CA adhesive to reattach the removed plastic piece covering the motor on the actuator. Using a HO DC train transformer that has reverse polarity switch the actuator worked flawlessly.
