Russ...I had a couple of curveballs on my FWB replacement thread..

Bolts heads on FWB slightly different
Axle stub frozen in hub
I broke ABS wire, my bad.
I did source a new ball joint nut, bolt finally...volvo dealer would not sell me one without a lower control arm.

I've done several P80 FWB'S. They ranged from insane to simple. These look original. I'm in for a good time!

I forgot to mention the TSB on adding plastic shields which stop crap going into your bearings, might be worth a stop,at the dealer to see if you can still get these

Wheel bearing, all hardware, little plastic shield and brake backing plate ordered. Front driver's side is getting noisier by the minute

Front wheel bearing and hardware now installed, in a nick of time. It was getting crazy loud!

Less than 500. It went from no noise to "holy $h!t !" in a couple weeks. The sound was different than the other P80's I've dealt with. More of a whirring sound that got louder when load was applied to the left front, like when turning right or going over humps in the road.

For the record, the bad wheel hub had a FAG bearing, and I replaced it with another FAG. There was no indication the the bad bearing was factory original.

Good thing is that drivers side axle is fairly new and a factory Volvo unit...PO must've paid dearly for it

The money pit was hungry for cash. In this case, I had very poor rear brakes. Both rear calipers were seized, allowing only the inboard pad to move. Rotors were toast and the backing plates were rotted off.

The car got Rebuilt rotors painted black with ATE pads & hardware, Zimmerman rotors, Volvo parking brake shoes and hardware and new dust caps for the hubs, because the hubs had to come off to get to the backing plates.

The Pro Parts Sweden backing plated didn't quite fit. The stopped the calipers from properly seating. They needed beatings from a ball peen hammer and many cuss words before I could get the calipers on. I had to replace the brake line to the passenger side caliper as it was frozen, and struggled to get the driver's side line off as well. Simple brake job took 7 hours. Can't wait to do the fronts in the spring!

Getting the front and rear motor mounts installed Tuesday, so a few hunny more will get tossed down the rabbit hole

Russ..did you take any pictures of the rear bearings? Are they assemblies like the front or more like conventional bearing and pressed in race assemblies
