I think i have the whole integrated drain/fill level screw figured out.

The Bigger one in the pic is the actual drain, and the little one is what you remove to check your level. if the ATF just dribbles out a little, then you are at the right level.
My issue is, when I took the little torx level check bolt out, fluid came gushing out. That is not what I expected. Is it possible that Volvo way over filled the trans at the last service?
So I have three questions:
1) Why did a lot of fluid come out when I just removed the level check bolt?
2) Which of the two fittings on the trans cooler/radiator do I remove The one at the top of the radiator or the one towards the bottom.
3) Is replacing the oring on the level check bolt really necessary? That will require another trip to the stealership!
