I've searched this forum and others regarding cruise control issues with manual cars and there is lots of discussions about the clutch position sensor. Typically, it seems that switch failures trigger a warning lamp on the dash. I have no warning light, just no cruise control. When I first start the car, if I push the cruise button it illuminates the CRUISE indicator on the dash but it then turns off soon after. I checked the codes using an autocomm cdp+ and it shows ECM 9300 Permanent Clutch Switch Failure or something to that effect. No signal too high or too low, just failure. If I reset the code it comes back as soon as I start the car. I pulled the switch and cleaned it with contact cleaner and it is showing variable resistance as I move it in and out. Does anybody know what the resistance range is for this switch? I don't mind replacing it if it is bad, I just don't want to spend $70 on a part if it isn't the problem.
