Post by juanjohnny »

i just did my brake pads on the rear of my car and now there is noise coming from the right side. at first i thought maybe i didnt tighten my wheel and it might of gotten loose. when i shake the car by its tire the right side seems loose and i get that clacking sound compared to the other side.i assembled everything in the order i took it of. i should have took some pictures for reference but i didnt. what could i have done wrong?

Is the noise there when driving? Or just stationary? Have you applied the brake pedal and parking brake multiple times since replacement? pads may not be seated. Or the backing plate got bent and it's rubbing on the rotor, causing a squeal.

The brakes shouldn't make the wheel move.. Could be control arm bushings or a tre, but neither should be affected by doing the brakes. You should have someone kick the wheel while you look for any play in the suspension and see what's loose exactly.
