2005 XC90 Door Latch issue

When I open the passenger door from the inside, then shut it, the door will not latch unless I toggle the door lock up and down, at least once... it doesn't do it if you open the door from the outside.. and the problem is intermittent... pretty frustrating though.

Take the panel off and look at it. There's a few YouTube videos that show you how to do it. It's only a few screws

I recently had a different issue (can't open door from inside).
It was a detached door cable.
I wrote it up, so you can use this as a guide to open the door panel to look.

You may need to spray some silicone lubricant into the lock actuator to free things up.

This is an intermittent issue... sometimes when I open the door from the inside, get out, close the door, it does not latch unless I toggle the door lock... other times it functions properly..
